THRU THE GARDEN GATE

Proficiency Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Kit Price: $125.00
Ground Fabric: 24-count mocha congress cloth
Size: (2) 12" x 14" or (1) 20" x 12"
Description: Two samplers of Japanese stone lanterns.  These lanterns, placed strategically in a garden, add style and simplicity to any Japanese home, and have become popular in western gardens recently.  Picture yourself standing in front of a garden gate full of patterns, depicting the door and bamboo fences.  Go thru the gate and find a sampler of stitched patterns adapted from Japanese design elements that use filling, trellis, and couched motifs in keeping with the style.

Many of these new design patterns will delight you.  Stitched in silks and metallics, I've added the use of flat gold for added interest.

Required Material:  (2) 12" x 14" or (1) 20" x 12" stretcher bars, plus usual stitching tools
