MT. FUJI VILLAGE

Kit Price: $121.00
Ground Fabric: Ecru congress cloth
Size: 18" x 18", or (2) 12" x 18" panels
Description:

There are many wonderful scenes in Japan but none greater than the view of the majestic Mt. Fuji, especially with its snowcapped peak.  Here is yet another view of one of the most famous locations in Japan that was seen from my window on a clear day.

This piece is for the stitcher who likes to work with silk and wants to learn what it can do when creating a design depicting nature and its elements. A wide variety of over-dyed silks are used in ways that helps them meld together.

Stitches include many basic types and variations plus some long and short shading in areas that call for realism.  The focus is not the stitches but the thread and use in its proper proportions.  We will deal with some over-dyed threads, some of which are new to the country.
